Somos Resilientes
The Somos Resilientes program (“We are Resilient) was developed by NIHHC. This mental health prevention program is specifically tailored for students aged 12 to 20. The program focuses on promoting overall well-being—social, emotional, and physical—while recognizing and addressing the factors that affect learning such as academic pressure, social adaptation (school, peers), future uncertainty (college career), social media overload, all impacting mental health and well-being.

Increase awareness and knowledge regarding mental health, stigma, culture, substance use disorder, trauma, and other risk and protective factors
Reduce the risk of substance use and other unhealthy behaviors

Vivamos a Plenitud
Vivamos a Plenitud (“Let’s Live to the Fullest”)
is an educational mental health program, developed by NIHHC, that aims to provide education and prevention strategies to adults to improve overall well-being (social, emotional, and physical).
Equip participants with positive coping techniques to address the impact of educational level and violence on physical and emotional well-being
Increase awareness and knowledge about mental health, substance use disorder, and risk factors such as stigma, domestic violence, and generational trauma
Reduce the risk of substance use and other unhealthy behaviors
Healthy Hearts
The Healthy Hearts program aims to prevent childhood obesity by teaching students in 4th through 6th grades about the the heart, nutrition, and exercise, empowering them with the tools needed to make healthier decisions.
Por Tu Familia
The Por Tu Familia program (“For Your Family”) aims to address risk factors associated with heart disease by promoting self-management of healthy habits.
A healthcare professional leads sessions on chronic health conditions such as diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure.
Professional instructors lead group fitness activities, such as Zumba or yoga.
A chef prepares a healthy recipe in each session or a session of reading nutritional labels is facilitated.
Bienvenido
The Bienvenido (“Welcome”) is a strengths-based mental health promotion program that focuses on building the emotional and behavioral health and helps reduce the risk of reliance on maladaptive coping strategies.
