Mario Teixeira is the Business Administration & Operations Manager at Strikes & Spares Entertainment Center, where he is responsible for general operations and business development, particularly in organizing fundraisers and benefits. He holds a Bachelor of General Studies in Fine Arts from Indiana University South Bend; an MBA from Florida International University; an MS in Accounting from Indiana University South Bend; and an MS in Finance from University of Michigan-Dearborn. As president of the board, he enthusiastically brings his experience and background to support the continuation of the terrific work that NIHHC has accomplished over the years.

Julia Rodriguez

Julia Rodriguez

Vice President

Julia Rodriguez is the Strategic Sourcing Manager at Crane Composites in Goshen, Indiana. She holds a BS in Industrial and Computer Engineering and an MBA from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico. Julia has 10 years of experience as an engineer with LG Electronics, ALCOA, and PKC Automator in Mexico, before relocating to the U.S. in 2013. She has also served as a volunteer for Dress for Success in Fort Wayne and Junior Achievement in Elkhart County. Thanks to her cultural sensitivity and experience, Julia leads efforts to improve the logistics for all NIHHC events and initiatives.

Morey Mowat

Morey Mowat

Treasurer

Morey Mowat is a retired business owner and philanthropist. He was the grand prize winner at the NIHHC Car Raffle in 2017 and was so impressed with the organization that he asked NIHHC’s Executive Director how he could contribute. Since then, he has served as a board member. Morey is a strong believer in NIHHC’s mission and brings a wealth of experience in finance, program development, and healthcare. He is known for being energetic, focused, and a great communicator.

Lori Shreiner

Lori Shreiner has served in K-12 public education for over 30 years as a teacher, literacy coach, building-level administrator, and now at the district level, as Assistant Superintendent of Secondary in Goshen Community Schools. Lori completed her EdS at Indiana State University and is currently completing her doctorate in Educational Leadership. In 2015, she was recognized by the Indiana Association of School Principals as the District 2 Middle School Principal of the Year. She has also served as District 2 IASP President. Lori brings her expertise in education to support the implementation of NIHHC’s educational programs in local schools.

Rick Copenhaver

Rick Copenhaver

Rick Copenhaver is the VP of Operations at Great Western Eagle Packaging, where he is responsible for the establishment of a formal quality management system, the P&L, and operations performance. He holds a BS in Recreation, specializing in Business Administration, from Indiana State University.  Rick also has seven years of experience as a board member for the Workforce Investment Board for North Central Indiana and as past president of the board for St. John’s Catholic School. As a board member of NIHHC, Rick brings his extensive knowledge and experience, along with the attitude to roll up his sleeves to get things accomplished. Rick strongly believes in the mission of NIHHC to improve the health and well-being of the Hispanic community. 

 

London Martinez

Board Member

London Martinez is the HR Manager and Training Specialist at NIBCO, where she oversees Learning and Development. London also has experience in project management, community outreach, and employee benefits. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Indiana University. As a member of the board, London brings support to advancing NIHHC’s mission and objectives through strategic planning, networking, and engagement efforts. London also serves on the Northern Indiana Workforce Board and is dedicated to career advancement for local youth and community members.

 

Benjamin Navarro

Benjamin Navarro

Board Member

Benjamin Navarro is the Admissions Liaison for Latino Recruitment and an Associate Professor of Spanish at Grace College & Seminary in Winona Lake. He attended two institutes in Argentina and went on to obtain his MA in Intercultural Studies at Grace Theological Seminary. He also serves on the boards of the Kosciusko County Soccer League and Community Grace Brethren Church in Warsaw. His passion for outreach, education, language, and cultural sensitivity drives his commitment to serve on NIHHC’s Board of Directors.
